Mr. Manish

Manish

YOGA THERAPY

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Manish’s journey into the world of yoga began in his early school days. With the gentle embrace of a spiritual atmosphere at home, yoga became a natural extension of his being. His wanderings took him across Maharashtra, the soil of saints, where the echoes of a Bhakti renaissance still resonate. An athlete at heart, Manish found joy in gully cricket, football, and kabaddi. His passion for running and fitness was an integral part of his identity, leading him to aspire to become an army officer. However, destiny had different plans, and his path eventually brought him back to yoga, a practice that honed both his mind and body. Even amidst the hustle of entrepreneurial life, Manish maintained his edge by practicing yoga daily, ensuring his spirit to remain sharp and vibrant.

The Himalayas, with their serene silver crest lining, called to him, deepening his connection to yoga. His travels through Devbhumi and the solitude of a solo trip to Kumbhmela, along with pilgrimages such as  Alandi-Pandharpur Wari, drew him closer to the essence of Hatha Yoga through the wisdom of Nath Yogis. These profound experiences marked the beginning of his transformative journey as a yoga teacher. Manish’s innate nature to help and understand others guided him towards a career as a yoga therapist, bringing him profound peace. His mission is to infuse the tranquillity of the Himalayas into the bustling life of Mumbai, believing that not everyone can journey to the mountains or an ashram to find solace. Thus, he strives to create an urban sanctuary where the essence of the Himalayas can be felt.

His philosophy, “The only way to happiness is to make others happy,” reflects his dedication to the well-being of his patients and clients. Manish’s expertise spans across Asana, Pranayama, Bandha, yogic counselling, yoga philosophy, and various styles of yoga. He has conducted yoga teacher training courses and workshops for beginner students, sharing his profound knowledge and passion. In every class, Manish brings a piece of the Himalayas to his students, creating a space where traditional simplicity meets the complexities of urban life. His work with government hospitals and Indian government departments as a yoga therapist stands as a testament to his commitment to healing and happiness.
